Italian Lourd... Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourd Piedmont surrounded by the Alps near Giaveno and Turin
Really very nice place. Serenity and peace are the adjectives that describe it best. The cave is very spiritual, the rosary is recited in the afternoon and holy mass is said at specific times. Adjacent to the cave, 2 via crucis have been created, one that goes up the mountain and one on the more easily accessible level. There are other symbolic constructions recalling the life and passion of Christ. Absolutely worth visiting, it regenerates the mind. A place that also serves just to rest... to disconnect from the frenzy of everyday life. Possibility to confess on site. Easily reachable with a short walk.
I returned after 20 years, I had good memories and everything remained as I remembered. I remember when on August 15th I came with my grandparents to mass and to the balloon launch, we tied a piece of paper with a prayer and our details and a medal of the Madonna and then we let it fly into the sky🎈 once I received a letter from the person who had found my ticket and my medal and thanked me... it was very emotional. I spent a few days in this place of peace and serenity, the possibility of following religious functions but without any obligation. Also a starting point for easy excursions in the mountains. Suitable for everyone, believers and non-believers. The volunteers and the rector are wonderful people, family atmosphere, I will definitely return, possibility of staying in the holiday home adjacent to the sanctuary
